For the young, free and single, since the introduction of lockdown and social distancing measures, some relationships have hit a stumbling block, while for some others, relationships have been flourishing!

Dating normally involves going out in groups teams or even as a couple, but times have truly changed.

Dating apps have exploded in popularity over the last decade, but with social isolation now in place the dating game is being reinvented. 

The young, tech savvy couples have started making use of different dating apps to get themselves a partner because it’s one of the new ways to meet new people, make new friendships and maybe even find love for those who are single.

Dating apps have proven to be useful in strengthening relationships and reducing the way in which you miss your companion.

The use of Snapchats, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. have all been some of the most sort after applications used for entertaining each other with the use of videos and pictures, Voice messages, Voice calls amongst other features the applications can offer.

For the married, some relationships have also been strengthened as a result of both couples staying under the same roof for longer durations.

The lockdown has proven useful to most married couples because they have been compelled to pay greater attention to their spouses, with time permitting more revelation of some of the character not noticed in the past.

This wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the social distancing and lockdown being in place. 

To some people, it is a blessing and likewise to some it’s been a bit tough because of the level of endurance each person has had to put up with, without options.

In a few cases, some relationships have been struggling because their partners have been used to spending time with each other out of home, going on fancy dates, taking nice pictures amongst other means of entertaining each other. 

Some couples are now reigniting their romantic life, while other and are having to stay apart for so long due to local and international border closures.

Married or single, without being with your spouse / partner for protracted lengths of time could cause cases of emotional trauma and sadness amongst the pair. Hence the dating and social media apps have provided a wonderful e-platform to keep in touch as often as possible against the odds.

Dating is fundamental to every human and it’s an inevitable phase for an individual to encounter, because Love is meant to be shared and we all need a companion to be with as social beings.  Keep on living your best life!
