News spreading about the effects of the Coronavirus (also known as COVID-19), is indeed enough to cause anxiety!

What really is anxiety?

Anxiety is a feeling of uneasiness and worry, usually generalized and unfocused as an overreaction to a situation.

Anxiety, however is part of life and is considered to be appropriate in ‘small doses’.

Anxiety, when not controlled may lead to PANIC!!



Some symptoms of anxiety include:

  • increased heart rate

  • rapid breathing

  • restlessness

  • trouble concentrating

  • difficulty falling asleep


Some natural remedies for anxiety relief

  • Get enough sleep.

  • Learn how to meditate from time to time.

  • Keep an active lifestyle and exercise, (even indoors like climbing steps & general household chores).

  • Eat a healthy diet (i.e a ‘balanced diet’).

  • Moderate use of alcohol and caffeine for adults.

  • Try to quit smoking, (even though it’s your right to smoke).


Remember, staying healthy is key to keeping the Coronavirus at bay! 

Good hygiene must be observed as often as possible, and this includes: 

  1. Spitting, sneezing or coughing into tissues / handkerchiefs.

  2. Wearing a face mask to control the spread of germs.

  3. Sanitize!!!!!!    Sanitize!!!!! Sanitize!!!!!!!  


"Thinking Aloud”...anxiety, when positively channeled and managed, can motivate people to work harder and to do a better job and be more productive generally.

Perhaps, we can channel the pressures of the threat of Coronavirus, into a positive outcome, making us organize ourselves into having cleaner  & healthier environments and lifestyles more often…
